I have two outlet that I think I can use for 60 gallon dewalt air compressor. What’s the best option or does it matter and is it up to code for Oklahoma? The air compressor has 15 amps.... one outlet was for ac unit that has 20 amp breaker which the air compressor asked for that as a minimum. The other says 250 and was used for a furnace I guess and has 30 amp breaker.

Use the recommended 20A 2-pole. If the compressor's plug doesn't match the receptacle you can easily change that. The '250' on the receptacle is just the rated voltage. Don't put your 15A compressor on the 30A breaker. You can change receptacles or swap breakers around, do what you're nost comfortable with. (Keep in mind...if you swap breakers you can put the smaller breaker on the larger circuit but not the other way around. You don't want to, for example, put the 30 amp breaker on the circuit that had the wire sized for 20 amps). In that case go to your hardware store and just buy another breaker to stick in there to avoid a future mis-match.

I think it would be better hard wired than plugged into an outlet.
