Didn't know whether to place this here or in the year specific forum - if I guessed wrong, please feel free to move it Mr Moderator.

The Tulsa County Library is trying to gather specifics on several currently unidentified photos from the Beryl Ford Historical Collection. The photo below is one such item. Now, I know what the car is and where it's sitting, but have no idea who the young man standing in front of it might be. I 'assume' - and we all know what trouble THAT can get us in, that he is the driver. Anyone here recognise him? If so, PLEASE email the answer to the library at unknowntulsa@tulsalibrary.org . Reference photo number B4776 so they can match the info with the right image. The car was out of Tulsa Oklahoma, so I assume [there's that word again] it ran in the Oklahoma, Texas, Kansas, Arkansas and Missouri area tracks. Maybe even hit some National events. It was a bit before my time.

If you know who this is, please let the library know. And if not, it's a pretty cool picture that I imagine most of us haven't seen before!

for some reason, the picture is tiny , so I'm [hopefully] adding a link to a bigger one...

see if that works better for ya and thanks for the help.

Uh ok I 'll be the first dummy to say this.....How about it's Rick Goodhead?

or Jerry Weidenmann...or neither! Anybody recognise him?

Or is that a positive ID big man?

Hummmmmmm.........

or Jerry Weidenmann...

I think one of you guys is right......:argue:

Actually, I don't think either of us are! Just received a probable answer from a long time area racer ; said he couldn't tell for sure by the image on his phone [how do they do that?!? and why...] but would look at it on his monitor this evening. Stay tuned!

Bigmanjb wins! Give the man a cigar!
A long time area racer had identified him as 'probably' Weldon Christian, another long time racer with Plymouth dealership sponsorships throughout the 60s into the early 70s, that has regrettably passed away. But, with the help, contacts and detective work of Chuck over at Colesy's Junior Stock forum, not only was a positive ID made, but I was able to speak to Mr Goodhead myself. He shared stories of the car, as well as others from 'back in the day' including his 1965 B/Stock National win. Really enjoyable conversationalist and quite gracious with his time.
Thanx for the guesses and the views.
