Help with axel ID. please

I need some assistance on figuring out what my 8 3/4 axel is from. The original twisted apart in the 60's on a race track, so a previous owner put this in. All I know is it is too wide for the car and has a 489 center, not much to go on. The drive shaft is from a 74 Newport, has that written on it in grease pen. Are there numbers on it somewhere? Thanks to all.
