I found this in a box of small parts marked 71 B and E.
Looks like Part # 2256686 Last number is hard to read.Is it for 71 and up ?
I know it's for the heater control but don't know with or without A/C.

Part number like that a guess 62 to 65. Couple of pictures might help.

I believe it is 2256680, and unfortunatly, does not come up. I think it is for heater only (no AC) because there are only 3 pushbuttons: Off/Heat/Defrost. An AC switch should have 5 pushbuttons: Off/AC/MaxAC/Heat/Defrost.

It has 4 buttons. Kinda looks like the early B body. Have nothing to compare it to at the moment.

That last one might be some kind of park position. A better visual would be if it was still attached to the base assy.

All the numbers I could find that were close were 62-63 vehicles.
I don't think that is for a 71 but couldn't say for certain.
I do however have a 62 book in the garage, I will look tomorrow.

Actually peaked my curiosity ... just went out to look.
2256681 is in 1962 book model 720 what ever that means. Definitely early 60s vehicle

 Thanks to all

No matter the year, is definitelly not 71 and later B body. B body changed completelly the design of the A/C and Heater control system since 71 on B bodies and some other models on later years such as A bodies and trucks

C and E bodies kept the old design thought
