Help with rear spoiler install for a for 1971 Satellite/Roadrunner ?

Hey guys I just bought a new spoiler for my trunk lid. I am not sure exactly how it mounts in the trunk. There are mounting areas punched into the underside of the trunk lid but I do not have the mounting brackets that go there yet. Can it be installed without the brackets? I was wondering if someone could post a picture of how the underside of the trunk lid looks after the wing is mounted with or without the proper brackets. Thanks!

I don't think it can be mounted without the proper brackets.

You could mount it without the brackets but it would just pull the mounting hardware literally through the deck lid. Take a lot more time to fix torn deck lid than to acquire correct bracketry. Learned that the hard way.

The previous owner of my car installed a Go-Wing without the right brackets... my decklid is slightly bent. Not noticible, but still.
