Help with shipping

I am looking for some information on shipping an item overseas. I need to ship a item to the Netherlands. I tried UPS and they can do it but the price is twice as much as the item. Anybody know of any reasonable shipping methods?

If it meets their size and weight requirements then USPS can't be beat. If it is too big then it will cost you your first born.
