If you are like me, you probably watched a lot of the hurricane damage on TV. I am 4.5hrs away from Houston and we have families staying in hotels all the way up here in Mansfield.
Dallas opened up a mega shelter to accommodate 5000 people and I'm sure the shelters are full from here to Houston.
For them it is far from over. I don't usually like giving to an organization cause they have the right to take a percentage for administrative purposes. I know the workers have to get paid but I've heard of to many scams in the past.
I like to know that what I am giving is going straight to those in need.
Here is a link to the Dallas shelter if you wish to help out.
If that's not what your looking for then there are plenty others out there. There is also the Red Cross.
Google is your friend.

I only donate as well to organizations that have the better good in mind...Hence the Red Cross, just as you posted above...

The Dallas food bank is another....

Our Children's House in Dallas....

Childrens Hospital of Dallas

Shriner's Hospital

Our Service Vet's

Or if I am aware of a family in need hand them some $$

Do this in times of adverse events is great but do we do this only then? Keep that in mind because there is a side to this world that we do not see on the nightly news...Hence, I try to make this a routine...

Several of us have listed our homes to foster a family that are displaced from this tragedy....

You know...we may kid each other or harass each other during football season but when it comes to times like these it's time to stick together. Thanks for posting these organizations I like to make sure my donations go to actually help the people in need ...not pay some fat cat president that does nothing.

My wife and I will be making a donation through the Red Cross, and our prayers are with the flood victims in TX and LA.

Yep. But if you only do it then, it's better than not at all.

True....you also do it when you pay taxes but most do not recognize that....

I am just throwing that out there so maybe someone might do more that's all...Of course that is a personal choice....

What is your problem Jason? Can no one make a suggestion?
You sure can. Just thought I'd post a link on how to help HURRICANE victims but that was followed up with do you do this in the time of adverse advents... with other links to Dallas organizations and what Justin does.

wow, bro and the problem with the other links is what? Do you not think some of those organizations are providing aid to the children from Houston that are displaced here...

You obviously have some personal issue towards me which I cannot understand as to why? I have ZERO with you....

So get off the sensitive mark and grow up....

All in all, donations are made in good faith that we all hope are managed correctly and ethically.

I think you need to look at yourself Jason...you are the one whom posted those two things I mentioned above and for once take ownership for your problem..
