I’m pretty sure this car is a survivor. Regardless, it’s one of my favorites, mostly because of the hubcaps. The elephant is truly at home in the driver’s seat. Anyone else know the relevance of the Elephant to Chrysler?

Yes!
small block chevy was a mouse motor and the big blocks were rat motors I think....

I think the OP is referring to the Stuffed Baby Elephant in the drivers seat...

The elephant in the seat refers to the car having the "Elephant" (HEMI) in it.

I don't think the term "elephant" was used for the hemi! I think it was coined in the hellcat era! stroked 572 crate engine is the hellephant!

I don't know how true this is, but I once heard a story that the MoPar ELEPHANT engine is why Chevrolet called their small block a mouse motor. The reasoning behind it is that an Elephant is scared of a mouse. The rat motor (Chevrolet big block) was named because it was a bigger version of the mouse. I suppose that could all be verified by doing a little internet sleuthing but I like the story no matter if it's true or not. I've said it before, I like all kinds of cars. Ford, Chevrolet, MoPar even AMC!!! There are some pretty cool IMPORTS out there too. I understand that's not the common mindset here but I enjoy the education I get almost everytime I log on!! WOW what a beautiful, striking, and super rare car. UNLESS it was restored, the original survivor car you are talking about had a crawling coyote on the stripe and some type of racing sticker on the right fender
