I have a 477 inch Hemi with original magnesium crossram with Holley 770 carbs. Cam is solid roller with a mild hyd. profile around 550 lift. Edelbrock heads weisco rotating assembly. Engine runs well has good response seems to have a ton of power. My problem is a low speed surge that goes away as soon as you are in the throttle. I understand this was a characteristic of the crossram are there any solutions since this is a car I would like to drive on the street. I have a firecore dist. with vacuum advance running 28 total about 14 initial and seems less surge with vacuum advance plugged. This is a four speed car.

You can mill the top cover down, reduce plenum volume. Will run better at low speed but upper range will suffer.
Don't think he'd do that to a mag x ram. The video isn't his it's 68hemigts's car.

No I am not cutting up that manifold I actually have a mopar performance as in video if it comes to that. The car starts and idles fine.
