Hey Kern Dog

It is smoky here but so far I am in the clear.
Thank you!

All these damn fires are making the Central Valley look like it’s winter with dense fog! It’s awful!! Hurts my only eye, been using the eye drops from the VA that were prescribed for dry eye.

Don't feel bad 5.7, it's just as nasty over here east of the Stateline. Can't wait for the rainy season to put a end this crap!

We are getting a lot of smoke here in the Phoenix area

Smoky not fun but better than flames.
I've been working had to get your 3000 likes back.
Hope others are helping out.

Smoke is bad here too. The largest fire in the country is 15 miles from my house. Plus we have the haze from the fires in Utah, Nevada and California.

smoky in the evenings up here
sort of been smoky in the AM's past 2-3 days
lots of grass fires & scrub oaks burning or junk

hope all our members from here,
are staying safe

lots of areas were evacuated especially in the
Lightning Complex (?) Napa & Vacaville area fires

the SoCal area fires I haven't heard much about since our fires started

my neighbor across the street, Tommy Jr. is a Cal-Fire guy
he's out now probably until the fires are all contained
he's part of the Air Support system, he's usually right by the fires
in the offseason, he commutes to San Jose area like 4 hrs each way
4 day on 3 off, 24/7 stand by
true 1st responders

The moon looked really strange last night.
5.7 Hemi was right though. It looks like a winter day with the haze resembling the "tule fog" we get in the Central Valley.

Yes, here too. Saw a couple of these pulling water out of a nearby lake.

First time I have seen this. I guess lightning sparked up some little fires nearby.

The smoke from the fire that drove me out was just starting to clear up out of Redding, 140-50 miles away as the crow flies.
I thought I'd never get out of it.

We are now getting smoke from the big Colorado fire.

As much as I hate hurricanes, I'll take them over fire any day! Marco and Laura is going to be interesting for sure. Looks like Marco might be more of a rain event but how much is the question. The jury is still out on Laura....but I'm glad I got my generator running yesterday after a 10 year sit. Bought a new carb for it probably 7 years years ago....
