Hey, just joined. I admit I'm a Ford guy but I've always had a Mopar fetish, my first automotive love affair was 68 Barracudas, had 4 of them till I switched to Ford. 40 years later and there are 3 Dodges in my driveway, no Fords. I have 2 Coronet wagons, a plain jane 72 (not even carpet, rubber mats) that was my wife's daily and our family car for the last 5+ years, a 71 Crestwood project, been sitting in a salvage yard since 84 till I drug it out a couple years ago and a 07 mega cab duelly work/ tow vehicle. I own a hot rod shop, we specialize in early ford hot rods and some muscle car stuff.
I joined to get an idea what to do with the wagons. Big delima over the 72. Only car I've owned that wasn't for sale even though had constant offers. Reason, not worth much but I just plain loved the thing, handy and made me smile every time I drove it. 130K survivor with mostly original paint and interior, a 318 that doesn't look like it's ever been out. Some jerk ran a light a couple weeks ago and t boned her hard. Dollar wise not worth fixing but... emotional wise I'm thinking about it, thought I might find a parts or a parts car on here. If I get past it and give up on her maybe some members can use some parts (organ doner?). The Crestwood I planned on restomoding with a late hemi and selling at auction (big part of what we do at work) and using the left over big block stuff in the 72 keeper. The Crestwood is too nice to part out for the 72 but although the woodgrain, 3rd seat and all is cool I prefer the bare bones style of the 72 (more hot roddy).
Maybe on here I'll get some inspiration.
