A few days ago I bought a 1972 Plymouth Satellite as my first car. Today I found this forum and figured it would be helpful to make an account in case I need some help. She came out of the factory with a 318 and somewhere along her life got a 440. I'd love to answer any questions anyone has.

She deserves a 440. You need some good old fashion muscle in that baby. Looks like a sweet project car. Good luck with it and welcome to the site.

Good to know you. Just picked up my 1972 Plymouth Satellite Sebring Plus last month. It has a 318 but I am looking for a Nascar/Trans Am type Mopar 305 to put in it just to be different.

Welcome to the site .Very cool looking project .

nice 72 Satty Project, good luck

welcome to FBBO

Welcome aboard and thanks for joining the Forum!
Congratulations!

Very nice car.
-When you get a few extra dollars, pull off that Edelbrock Torker "Single Plane" intake manifold an shop on our Forum's For Sale section and get yourself an aluminum "Dual Plane" manifold.
Perhaps a Weiand 8009 or an Edelbrock.
You'll have much better drivability and performance.

Thanks for the suggestion super-bee. Right now I'm upgrading the carburetor to an Edelbrock Preformer 750 CFM because the one that is on there is plugged up since the previous owner ran it out of gas. That will definitely go on the list though!

Welcome, Nute! Great first car you have there.

nuteguy, I like your car. Nevermind the odd rust blister, just sand 'em down and spray bomb them for summer driving. You can get serious about fixing the problems over the winter. :) And if that's your first car, congrats on such a cool ride! Welcome:wav:

And what's the story on the SuperBee and Dart in the background of those shots. You in a Mopar family? :)

I wish haha. The pictures you're referring to are from the Craigslist ad. Once she's back together and washed I'll get some nice ones of my own.

Welcome! Keep posting pictures! This will be a sweet build, already has a good look to it! Like Phantom said, little blister, but it adds character! What's a mopar without a personality?

Good luck, lots of guys on here, you'll never find a better place for answers to your questions.

-Jake
