Hi everyone. My name is Paul & I live in Chichester , United Kingdom. I used to own a 1969 Dodge Charger with a 440, painted to look like the one in 'Dirty Mary, Crazy Larry' - fantastic car!
I've joined the forum as I am looking for a 1969 Plymouth Roadrunner to buy & ship back here to the UK.

Welcome and you'll have no problem finding one here.. keep us posted.God Bless.Bear R.-

Welcome to the site Paul! And great taste in cars/movies, Dirty Mary Crazy Larry is up there on my list if you couldn't tell lol. Any pics of your old Charger?

Good luck with your search :icon_thumleft:

I think it was pretty rare then & still is now as everyone knew & wanted a 'Dukes' clone (Loved the TV Series - hated what was done to the cars). DM, CL was a fairly unknown film over here - only true petrolheads knew about it - much like Vanishing Point, Two-Lane Blacktop & Easy Rider. I watched all the films, bought the Ertl American Muscle models but ultimately wanted a REAL 69 Charger to drive, however, it was always going to be a DM,CL clone whatever it took. (I even freeze-framed the DM,CL film multiple times to ensure the stripes were correct - bored my stripes man to death!)
Funny thing is, random show 'nowitalls' said 'Oh its a Dukes car done wrong'. But, true Charger fans gently disagreed & re-educated the unbelievers:hello2:
- the true B- Body fans were very supportive.

That's awesome! I was actually going to use the DM,CL (and Death Proof) license plate numbers on my Charger until I saw how expensive the "custom" numbered plates are here lol

Still considering using the stripe though :icon_thumleft:

And I know what you mean about the dukes, can't mention my car to anyone without getting the "you gonna paint her Orange with 01 on the doors?" or "all ya need is a rebel flag on the roof" comments. Wish I got half as many DM,CL comments, it'd be a fresh change
