Hood pin plates scratched

My hood pin plates are getting scratched up. I think they are just aluminum. Is stainless the way to go? And where do I get them?

Stainless will scratch too. Buff the sharp edges off the pins !!

Adjust the pins so they are taller.

A fine line between post height and hood too loose.

This is what I'd recommend if they're being used as a backup where your latch is still holding the hood at the correct height. This being in the A12 section... aren't those lift off meaning no latches?
