Hood release handle location

Where would the hood release handle go on a 73 Charger?

Right now there is 3 ft of wire hanging from the front of the car.

Also, does anybody know the routing of the cable from the hood release to the handle?

my 71 rr is under the front bumper.idk if its the same for the chargers
