Guys I am working on a 64 Plymouth Sport fury Max Wedge clone & was wondering if I need to cut the hood braces to clear the air cleaners It is a stock MW manifold & carbs
Thanks
I didn't have to cut them out from my '64 Belvedere when I installed a Max Wedge with factory style air cleaners. My car had over an inch of clearance at the closest point.
no you do not, as long as you didnt have the aluminum frontend package back in the day, all cars came from the factory with front mounted battery and no hood scoop. they didnt cut the hood braces on when you added a hood scoop.hope this helps.
