How many shims under 68-70 door latch

Does anybody know how many shims are under the latch on the door post of a 68-70 b body? One door works fine with just one but the other door latch needs to be shimmed out more. I'm may have to cut the post and open it up or more shims, I would like it to look correct. Any input or pics would be appreciated. Thanks

Yes, 2 per side on mine.
They may have varied during production due to tolerances not being held from the body shop.

Exactly. If every car needed two shims, they'd have simply stamped out a single shim twice as thick.

Good point thanks. One on mine took three, so considering that some cars have 2, it should be fine, I just wanted to make sure it looked correct. Thanks
