All except the e-brake thing, sure. That particular maneuver in one of ours would
pretty much involve both hands, both feet and probably any other appendage you
could get involved. :)
 
I agree with most of this, although resting your hand on the shifter shouldn't matter for those of us running a A-833 transmissions. As long as you are not pulling or pushing the lever, all you are doing is putting some very minor pressure on the shifter mechanism. Nothing spins or is moving there, it is just a conduit to moving one of the rods which pulls or pushes on one of the transmission's three levers.

Modern day manual transmission is another matter...
