Ok Guy's
My question, is this I have recently bought a 1964 Polara. When i started doing a brake job on the front end much to my surprise it had two different types of brake drums on it. One would slide on and off with out any trouble ( a little tapping), the other one required taking the the grease cap, nut, cotter pin, and bearing off. The hub and drum are made as a unit. What year or years would each of these be? Also where can I get a hub to make both slide on and off type?

I think if you press the drum off you can use a rear drum and its not swedged.what i did on my 66 anyway.

I think my 66 Bel came with the two piece 10" originally.

I think they went to a 2 piece setup in the late 60s,press off old drum, unless you have the tool to take them apart. You have to replace the studs any way you go.
