hurst pistol grip 1970-shifter problem

hi everyone,can someone help me find a new hurst shifter for my 70 rr,383,i have a a833 tranny,i have the handle already,new from dodge,bolt in ,every time i call for a shifter nobody seems to know which one i need,i need shifter,and linkage,i think the install kit is 373-4089-then i ask for the shifter and it doesnt say for pistol grip can some one help me,thanks chaz

What you really need is not made new. I dont recall the part number (has 74 in it) it is an original 1970 OEM shifter. They are sought after and usually need rebuilding. It is the shortest throw shifter and that is needed because the 69s were famous for being too long and you would hit the dash with your knuckles on the 3rd gear power shift.
 
I have seen on ebay reproduction or rebuilt shifters direct from Hurst with the linkage. check it out. If you cant find it, let me know I will try for you.
