Not electric.
A bit of a misconception - burning hydrogen results in only water vapor IF it is burned with pure oxygen. Burning hydrogen in a vehicle that mixes it with regular air also produces NOx emissions, more than from natural gas because the flame speed is so high, but still much less than conventional liquid fuels.HYDROGEN POWERED???? very specialized. HYDROGEN gas is liquid under pressure like propane or liquidified natural gas (LNG). Requires specialized equipment....storage tank, liquid to vaporizer, fuel metering throttle body. Very clean....zero emissions.....burning hydrogen results in only water vapor (H20). Hydrogen has low energy compaired to C3H6 (propane) or CH4 (LNG), HYDROGEN @ 325 BTU/ ft3 compared to 1000 BTU/ft3 (LNG) or gasoline 6239 BTU/ft3...plus availability is extremely limited. Not a very practical application....
Just my opinion of course.
BOB RENTON
Biggest problem with hydrogen seems to me like that whole thing of having to carry pressurized
BOOMBOOM fuel on board. Very explode-y.
The fear of exploding hydrogen is discussed and addressed in the video. It's not the Hindenburg, folks. So, relax.I remember watching a film in school back around 1970 where some southern California college
students were working on a hydrogen-fuel car then (seems like it was even a Pinto or Vega??).
They made a big deal about taking a paper cup to the rear of the car and holding it under the
exhaust pipe, where they caught some dripping water as the car ran....and then they drank it,
I suppose trying to prove how "clean" the car ran.

I ain't driving any LP vehicle either. Kablooey is kablooey. No worse than LP gas, but face it, it will all go BOOM.
I will never "relax" carrying hydrogen on-board at 5000psi +.The fear of exploding hydrogen is discussed and addressed in the video. It's not the Hindenburg, folks. So, relax.
BTW, they're showing the potential of a hydrogen powered vehicle. Clearly stated not ready for production.so, give it time.
That's unfair because everyone knows the petroleum and auto industries have a lot of influence on what makes it to market. With 50 years of government subsidies we could all be driving hydrogen powered vehicles.I will never "relax" carrying hydrogen on-board at 5000psi +.
"Time"? They've been messing with that technology for over 50 years now!
Might want to do a little research before talking about "subsidies"....because if you did, you'd discover:That's unfair because everyone knows the petroleum and auto industries have a lot of influence on what makes it to market. Everyone knows about government subsidies for big oil. I've never heard anything about subsidies for big hydrogen. So, if you would be so kind as to inform the rest of us that would be appreciated.Might want to do a little research before talking about "subsidies"....because if you did, you'd discover:
Hydrogen energy research has received hundreds of $Millions of grants and subsidies, worldwide,
in the last half-century - including incredible amounts as we speak.
Fact is, pretty much all the grants and funding for research have been for "alternative fuels" for decades now,
so if you're looking for anything actually "unfair" - fossil fuel technology has pretty much been on its' own
for R&D $$$ for a very long time now by comparison.
There's your "conspiracy", right there.
I watched your little video and there's some stellar workmanship and tech there for sure....
but if you don't mind now, I'm going to turn my attention back to the actual purpose of this entire
website/forum, if that's ok.
I won't do your homework for you; it's readily available information for anyone to research.Everyone knows about government subsidies for big oil. I've never heard anything about subsidies for big hydrogen. So, if you would be so kind as to inform the rest of us that would be appreciated.
Don't go away mad we're just having a friendly discussion.I won't do your homework for you; it's readily available information for anyone to research.
Of course, they'd first want to know...and that seems to be lacking in your case.
Again - I'm returning to what this forum is all about, which ain't what you're trying to sell here.
I'm done with this.
