Hi everyone! I’ve technically been a member a few years now, but stopped coming around when I sold my ‘72 Charger...

But the wife just decided she wanted this beauty for her daily, so we’re back to B-bodies! ‘68 Sport Satellite with a 440 (318 car)

Now to find a good service manual, and a good book on the 440, since its my first Mopar RB.

Haha she did though. She’s an enthusiast. She has a couple of classics, and she grew up in her dad’s shop, who spent his entire career restoring and hotrodding classics.

Yeah - and you wanted the white laced curtains for the bedroom aye? I know a lot of women like those lift off six pack hoods...... probably the only car you could find that fit her price range. Lol.

Sweet ride - hope “she” enjoys it...

Welcome back bro

I'll be nice and just say welcome back.

As they say, happy wife, happy life

Welcome back

nice 68 Satty in the avatar

Should be pleased with the 440
It’s got a great sound, but it’s definitely starving for more air/fuel... runs well, but lacks the oomph that 440 should carry. I built a 318/904 in my 72 charger that had at least as much go, and definitely roasted the tires easier... I’ve got to get around to checking all the plugs/timing, tuning the carb, and see what happens. It sure could use a 6-pack in place of the Holley 750 though!

From what I've been learning being a member here apparently alot of guys over cam them, then they sound good but don't preform good. I have a 67 r/t very stock that i didn't over cam years ago and it ran very well 750 carter afb. I recently replaced the engle hughes cam from 1998 with a cam from mr 6 pack i just broke that cam in yesterday. So hot here in Cincinnati waiting for nicer day and take a drive and report back here on the performance. hopefully you can tune yours uo and get it performing the way you like.
