Got the dreaded 5 year follow up for a Colon Exam tomorrow at the VA. This is terrible not being able to have solid food. My gut is growling and wants FOOD!! And get this...My refrigerator is down and won't be fixed until Wed. I am so not looking forward to that Gallon Jug of liquid that they make you ingest just prior to it. At least I got a bunch of Crystal Lite to make it more palatable. Then later this week I have a pre-op appointment for some surgery later this month. Gonna be an interesting April and the car is still giving me fits. At least Baseball Season has started...Go Cubs!!!!:hello2::blob1::blob1::blob1::blob1::blob1:

Good luck to you. I gotta do this too, for the first time in the next year or two.

Go team!!!!

Just remember, when the colon-blow works it's magic, don't wipe, blot; otherwise you'll end up with a sore and raw bunghole. Better yet, go out in the back yard and hose yourself off.

I feel your pain, I just got over the worst flue I ever had (pissed out of my but for two days then had it come right back for another two). I don't know what was worse, the runs or the smell of it that made you turn around and puke. Thank goodness I'm over it after missing three days of work.

I LMFAO, yeah when that barium/laxative stuff kicks in, "it's here she blows for a while" & several times...

it's a necessary evil...LOL... Go A's

Don`t Trust the gas pressure, sit on the toilet before you Meg! I had mine last year nothing to worry about. You will eat like a Zombie from The Walking Dead though afterwards....

I started taking the stuff around 10:00 am & the bathroom runs (literally) lasted until I went to bed. The next morning I still had to go a couple times & one last time in the hospital before they put me under. Now, here's what they don't tell you. To get the camera up there, they first have to inflate your *** with air, which explains why I had severe cramps after I ate lunch. Once the air biscuit worked itself through, I had a ripper fart followed by the last of the squirts.

So, the lesson is this: even when it's over, don't even try to squeeze out a fart without being safely planted on the bowl first because you don't want to end up with some nasty yellow butt foam in your shorts.

This April Fool's joke isn't funny.

How old were you guys when you did your first one?

And I just finished eating...mmmmm. Need to do this sometime 55 and haven't done it.

Knew a guy that had his done at 50, they told him to come back in 10 years. But he goes back every month. I Don't know for sure, but I think he likes it.

I was 51, the doc told me "You have a beautiful colon." I'm thinking that you can't use those two words in the same sentence..... :) He also told me come back in 10 years, crap, I've only got a couple more years......

1. 'Take it easy, Doc. You're boldly going where no man has gone before!

2. 'Find Amelia Earhart yet?'

3. 'Can you hear me NOW?'

4. 'Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet?'

5. 'You know, in Arkansas , we're now legally married.'

6. 'Any sign of the trapped miners, Chief?'

7. 'You put your left hand in, you take your left hand out...'

8. 'Hey! Now I know how a Muppet feels!'

9. 'If your hand doesn't fit, you must quit!

10. 'Hey Doc, let me know if you find my dignity.'

11. 'You used to be an executive at Enron, didn't you?'

12. 'God, now I know why I am not gay.'

And the best one of all.

13. 'Could you write a note for my wife saying that my head is not up there?'

Now what the Hell is that supposed to mean??? You've only got a couple more years???Man you are just getting into your prime of life so I wouldn't be so fatalistic about Life unless you know something for certain.

Procedure went really smoothly and no bung hole discomfort after that Glititely Drink. Get to wait another 5 years for a follow up though. But a good diagnosis today. Next up us an operation to remove a Lypoma and then Cataract surgery for my right eye. Then I should be good as new...:blob1:
