I read that there are no regulations on roller coaster designs and what they can do in terms of forces on you. There is just a small group that actually design them and they are pretty closed about it.
People get killed more frequently than is publicized because injuries are paid off to keep things quite.
That may all be total BS, but I did read it years ago.
I know that I'm not getting on them and getting my neck hurt on those things like I did when I was young.

I LOVE roller coasters...but I prefer the wooden ones.

They have a more natural G force application curve, although they also have a more pronounced tendency to lift from the track.

They were MUCH better before the cramped safety barriers.

Idiots invoking "natural selection" does tend to occur at a higher rate, though.

That is good! I wasn't sure after 30 years whether I liked them or not. So when the wife and I went to Moparfest a couple years back, we went over to Canada's Wonderland. After the first ride we bought fast track tags and rode every roller coaster in the park, some twice. They were great!!
