Part number G-3643311 came out of my 70 RR but l think it may be for a later model RR. The 70 pitman arm is too big and l bought a Pitman for a 73 and it fit. I switched my car to manual stee8ring and l would like to sell this rebuilt unit but l want to identify it first 1004151422.jpg1004151421a.jpg

Thank you, much appreciated. It doesn't surprise me that it came out of my roadrunner, the guy I bought it from did a lot of stupid things, I've had to rebuild the car from front to back.....Can you tell me where you found the info for that part number? I have other parts I want to research.

I've seen one on eBay awhile back.

What Pitman arm, center link and idler arm would you use to make this work on a 70 b body?
You might check on here.

Unfortunately l am not sure what the hell the idiot l bought this car from installed on this car. I now have a manual steering box for a 70 so l need to track down a 70 b body center link. I already have a 70 b body idler arm.

I was under the impression the splines changed long about 73?

One reference is Big Block Dart "tech" pages

http://www.bigblockdart.com/techpages/steeringbox.shtml

This is when the pitman / box / center link / idler all changed on A bodies. You can put the earlier box in a later car and vise versa if you keep these four parts "compatible."

The problem seems to be the center link because if you use an a body set up on a b body the center link is too short.1013140924.jpg

You can see the center link is on an angle instead of parallel. It hits the bottom of the oil pan on a left turn. I made it drivable by using an idler arm from a 73 b body. It's better but not correct.
