Something my two younger brothers and I got into as well (late 60's into the 70's).
Tons of track laid both inside and outside in warmer weather - sometimes strategically built so that we could open the screen
door at just the right time to run one continuous road from inside to outside and out in mama's planters around the front porch.
Entire "cities" built out there in the mulch.
Then we expanded onto the neighbors' yard (with him, being older and retired, watching us with a big grin on his face)….
The Hot Wheels collections were huge and I wish I still had any of it.
The best of times.
Still have then tots full of mopars all in original packaging. Do I want to be a kid again? NO WAY unless there is a way to freeze that age at 3 for ever.
My little brother got all the cool toys. Hot Wheels were one of them. I remember him getting a brand new Orange Krate bike with a slick on the back. I bet he still wishes he had that!
Screw the toys ! Remember when we didn't hurt !!!!! We could get up and down as we wanted . In middle school your Willy learned how to stand up on its own in class ! Now I can't get it to even roll over Any more , back then I could keep it down!
I honestly just want to go back to not having any pain ! And can jump off stuff and be fine !
I had that bike! Until I took a jump off a wooden ramp! Dumbass, but it was fun. Cleaned the road rash out with the garden hose, and put some of that red / orange spray stuff all over it that hurt like hell! Fun times!
