ive been contacted by a friend of 30 years plus back about looking to buy his father (second owner) 64 polara that was a aluminum front fender car out of the factory. first owner bought it sat in the yard took out the drive train installed it in his race car back in 1964 and never did anything
with the rest of the car.my friends father bought the car and then installed a 318 and drove it for years after making it street worthy. Then some one stopped by bought the aluminum front end and replace it all with steel many years ago .im guessing needed the funds but were talking 30-40 years ago.
im off to go look at it what can I look for to help id what was the car back then vin of coarse it was a automatic and color of he car was white with gold trim .its a roller now red in color very little rust on lower right quarter .would this have been a factory race car?
any input to look for would be helpful.thank you

If it was an aluminum front end car it would have either had the 426 Stage III Max Wedge or the 426 Hemi in it in 1964. The best bet is get the vin and then see if someone on here has Darrell Davis's 64 Dodge book which has all the vin #'s of all the 64 Max Wedge and Hemi cars built. I wish I could help as I have the 63 Dodge and Plymouth books and the 64 Plymouth book but not the 64 Dodge book. But I am sure someone on the site has the 64 Dodge book. Ron
