Sonny is so sick, looking at this beautiful 2 door Dodge rotting away just sitting in the same spot for 2 plus years......yes, the slicks on the rear are flat.

I agree you need to find out if they will sell it

An intervention is warranted.
Sonny needs to stop and inquire, bring a 12 pack and start chatting.

..i did, he was inebriated .......says 30K.....

it is straight, but in the elements for years....he did dive it about 3 years ago (sounds like a freight train) and lost it in front of his home .....took out his fence....no real damage (to the car)...

He knows people want it. To him that's more of a thrill than the car itself. You would have to be a Trump level negotiator to make that deal the price you want it. Probably do some things your not proud of but it could be done..

Complain to the city that there’s a junked car been sitting there for two years or more. They might get on him - and that could change his tune on selling it. Worth a shot

I watched a Duster for near 20 years sitting in a driveway.First time I knocked on the door the guy said it was his moms that passed.Wasn't ready to sell. Stopped many times, said "Man I really could do something nice with it.'' Nope. After about 10 years I gave up but drove by to check.Last week when driving by I saw it was gone. The guy was sitting in his driveway,I just kept going.
I'm sure he got nothing for it.Probably called one of the "We will tow it away for free."
Same with a woman that had a sweet 68 Dart GT.Was her mother's.I told her I would give her more than any one else.Nope saving it for her daughter. That one only sat for 5 years,I heard she gave it to a church or something for free.

I got a tip in the eighties about a 59 chrysler 300E sitting in a guys front yard. This car appeared to be a complete driver and likely running condition.
The owner said he had a plan for it and was not for sale. I went by every year for about five years. The car sat under the trees collecting all kinds of growth and critters as it sunk to the frame in the dirt.

It's an illness...they are attention cravers; hoarders; drunks; infirm, etc

When the near abandoned cars get donated, they will end up with someone...hopefully they are building them instead of crushing them. When the owner dies, likely the kids (who could give a **** about cars) sells them at the first opportunity. Got to be at the right place, right time.

neighbor had a 64 Chevy step side that he bought new, setting for 20 years would never sell it, he died then wife sold it to me for $500.00,
she set the price on the window at a yard sale.
I then sold it for $1500.00 that same week.

The bottom line is its there property and for whatever reason they dont want to part with it. They could be lonely and this vehicle provides occasional attention. Who knows whats the reason. Decades ago there was a 32 Ford Coupe in a backyard visible from the street. Countless people stoped and tried to buy it but the owner wouldn't part with it. It was just a body but had all the glass and was solid with no rust, today it would be worth big money. One day i stoped and a guy not much older than me came out, we got to talking and he told me it was project for him and his dad that never materialized. His father had recently died and the young guy was very depressed. It was a emotional conversation between me and this guy who id never met and would never see again. I could have bought that body right then, the guy at that very moment of time was ready to sell. Don't ask me why but i didn't buy it. I told the guy i was really sorry about his father but maybe he should keep it and build it himself when he was ready. I felt buying it was taking advantage of him at that time. After awhile the car was no longer there and i have no idea what ever became of it.

Sonny should tell that phucker what a dummy he is!! Tell him he should be ashamed to let the sit and ROT.Tell him your not looking to buy it,just pushing HIM to fix it.
AND......you should do it after pulling up with your 63!!!!!

Damn I'm glad I live in the sticks where I can have my outbuildings with future, maybe projects in them.
Included are a 65 C-10 in excellent condition and a 67 C-20 in good conditiin
After restoring a b-body these things should be simple and cheap

Projects, projects,PROJECTS !! Who among us is without Projects ? The ''Some Day'' infection we seem to share.
