Hi, Any Canadian members here import a car from US lately,
Using a broker, Got some paperwork here, got to be abit of a Lawer to fiqure out, I plan on going down myself and bringing back.
Any insight would be appreciated
Thanks

Pretty easy to do. Just make sure you send a copy of the title/bill of sale and fill out the form and email or fax to the American crossing that you will be using.I think they need the info at least 3 days in advance. Don't be a dick and they'll stamp the title and off you go. Next step is dealing with the Canadian border guards. Do not lie (too much anyways) regarding the price you paid as they will know the going rate for most cars or boats. I did this 2 years ago so things may have changed a bit. Really easy to do as long as you follow the instructions provided by US Customs.

Thanks Baller, I called US Customs today, as off this year, you need a broker, can't do it yourself he told me?

I did it myself in August 2014, sept 2013, May 2012 and a few other times. I did not use a broker and had no troubles. I think that there may be one new form that has come out since my last import, that has to be completed.

Do you folks have any problems with illegal cars getting by the boarder patrol?
If so what impact do they have on your car market?
If a car does get in is it allowed to stay?
If a car does find it's way into Canada can it get a license to be driven?
