RIP Ed.
I got hit in the head with that guitar when I was working as a stagehand in the 90s. Either 'Frankenstrat II' or his Kramer with that paintjob, I don't remember.....cut my melon pretty good. It was my fault but Ed still felt bad, he sat with me for a few minutes while the bleeding stopped and shared some vodka with me....and I didn't like vodka! But, when Eddie Van Halen passes you a bottle, you drink...!
And everyone knows the story of when he put his 'bumblebee' guitar in Darrell's casket. A drummer friend of mine attended the funeral service and remembers how everyone in the building was stunned to silence.

RIP Eddie, his music was a big part of my youth
he was a car guy too

I made one too the day I heard... to say this is a ginormous loss would be an understatement!
