Hi all,

Does anyone know of a PROVEN professional quality paint and body shops near boston. My 67 is ready and I really don't want this to be a nightmare or an avoidable disaster! I hear (and see) some shitshows people have tried passing off as good quality and it really concerns me. I have no problem paying for work done correctly, just nervous when you hear so many horror stories about things going wrong. Thanks in advance for any input!

When you find a reliable shop, and decide to get into it, just be prepared for the "worst case" scenario. I had looked for my '63, which I thought was a great driver as is (was), but wasn't happy with the paint, so apart it came. After the media blast, all the 55 year old metal showed its age, and my repair budget is gone. All the metal repair will be done properly, but I'm not sure of a time frame now to get it completed. Costs at this time are through the roof, so just letting you know, "Be Prepared". I do know of 2 or 3 shops, but none are local to you in Boston...

Don't know many in Boston but I would recommend Hull's Auto Body in Bolton, CT if you don't mind the trailering. Jim's a Mopar man and done a boatload of B bodies and other Mopars. Not the cheapest, but very, very good.
