I'm installing new front disc brakes on my 73 Charger I noticed these new brakes don't have a hold down spring like my oem ones. The pad is loose are you supposed to do something to hold it in place or just bolt on and hold to go ?

The top of the outside pad has 2 tangs, one on each end of the pad, tap them with a hammer to bend them over till the pad will snap onto the caliper.

After looking at the brakes again I realized when they put them together it was for shipping purpose only that's why I was confused I didn't realize I can loosen the metal tangs and move the caliper over so it was against the stationary pad .
