Hi all

Just wondering if I can purchase the 13" armrests and bases and swap them into my coronet that has the 9" armrests?

Looking to replace my crappy old ones, thought about maybe upgrading to the longer ones.

Cheers!

I believe so, as long as you keep the bases and armrests matched in length.

The mounting holes are the same, and there's quite a bit of the 13" that "hangs over" the rear 9" mount hole.

I had the 9" ones from a RR in my Charger until I got around to buying some new 13" ones, both bolted right in.

I have the 13" armrests in my 66 Satellite and will eventually change them out to 9". The 13" armrests have two holes where the screws pass thru to mount the armrest on the door panel. The front screw hole is near the end of the armrest but the rear screw hole is about 4" from the end of the arm rest, as a result the armrest has sagged downward due to the lack of support at the end of the armrest. If I were you I would leave the 9" armrests on your Coronet.

How often are you using your car to get them to sag like that?!? I'm currently only driving mine maybe 20-40
Times a year, aiming for more when I get things more buttoned up tho.

Like the longer arm rests, but not if they are going sag out like that.

I'm like you, I drive the Satty 20-40 times a year, going to car shows, cruise nights etc. Because of the hole placement and the lack of support at the end of the armrest, the sagging just occurred over time. I've noticed used 13" armrests with a downward curve for sale at Mopar swap meets.

If you got short arms, keep the short armrests. If you got long arms, get the long armrests. Nobody likes saggy elbows. :poke:

Mine never sagged but I bought brand new ones from Vans Auto and they're very very rigid.... plus I hang my arm out the window most of the time.
