I need to get the paint for my interior. I know its black (thats the easy part LOL) but what is the finish? The fsm states that it's low gloss. So is it satin or flat? It seems like flat would be too dull. I called a paint wholesale place and the guy told me it was either semi or flat. I told him it was for a mopar and he said "a what?" WTF! Why do they let kids answer the phone. Thanks in advance!

I wouldn't think it would be flat if the manual is saying a "Low Gloss" It might help if you leave what car your doing, someone hear may have the same and be able to point you in the right direction.. Good luck!

It's a 72 Road Runner. I'm doing the dash and steering column.

i used KRYLON "semi-gloss"....not semi flat....on my glove box interior...theres pix of it in my gallery under" deeeeeluxxin up" if you need to see how it turned out.

im not sure what it is that youre painting..... but that works great! just prime it first. it actually looks like new

it is called jewel black and it is available at many resto places.
also, instrument specialties offers the original formula laquer paint
for interiors by the qt or pt.

I sprayed mine with a 30 gloss jet black from Sherwin-Williams Automotive. Looks awesome and is very durable.

There's a new paint from Krylon called Dual, that's paint and primer combined, that I've had great results with. I use the Satin finish, and it's gone on great on plastic and metal.

+1

This is some really good paint for rattle can paint...i've had excellent results with it.

I'll third (or forth) use of a Krylon rattle-can...satin should be fine..key thing is to paint all of the dash and column in the same paint, and likely no one can tell the difference outside of a show judge.
