A friend called me and asked me if I knew where to buy the center section of a Superbird front valence. Is anyone making them in steel? The car is an original Superbird.

This is almost a Want To Buy ad.

Just trying to help out a friend. Hoping someone has information about someone making these parts, or has an original piece that they want to part with. The latter is more of a wanted ad.

If I remember the part you are looking for correctly, it should be very easily fabricated. Seems it's nothing but flat sheet metal.

Was a nice hand formed one awhile back for sale I recall

Is this the panel you are looking for? The black piece.

It's flat metal, notched in the center at the core support. All the holes are elongated so that it will bolt up easily. Nothing special.

They are galvanized...

I don't have one,car runs cooler with that panel out.
I have all the panels and seals installed, even the large seal between the core support and the K frame. Once I had my radiator rodded and flushed mine runs between 170 and 185 all day long even in our 100 plus degree summers. I can stand 10 foot in front of the car with a large bath towel and watch the towel pull out towards the car when I rev the engine. Working as designed is what I say.
