To recover sun visors or once the stiching comes outyou need to get entirely new (or used) ones instead of being able to restore the original ones

That would be a huge, major PIA job, but if you were super patient and found some thread at Joan Fabric or something... I think it could be done. Reproduction sets are available and not "too" expensive (not cheap either), but a good choice if they make ones for your car.
