If apple won't help with a terrorist attack, then you and I are probably reasonably safe.

If you don't have GPS/location turned on, they can guess with triangulation from the towers if there are three that have a signal.
If only 2, you get a location within bisecting arcs.

For me, I try and not be tethered to my cell phone. Yes I have a Smart Phone and it only goes with me when I have to be outside my cell such as last week when I drove over to Fallon NAS NV for some business. Seems my only Branch for Navy Federal Credit Union is there. But my point is that for the most part, I do not have it with me when I do errands and such locally here. I mean WHY?? Why do those that constantly have one with them when out and about need to have it that way??? If ones life is so complicated and hectic that they constantly are on them, then just get a Desktop or Laptop and use that instead at home. Granted Big Brother can still, "TRACK" you even there but it makes it harder to infiltrate and trace your where bouts because you are always in one location. Still in this mixed up World, the cell phones are now the preferred communicator device...cr8crshr/Bill

I don't carry my phone daily
or even when/if I do, I rarely even, ever have it turned on
unless I'm expecting a certain call

they can leave a message
99% of them are spam/BS too

it's for my connivance, when I leave my house
& not anyone else's

when I leave the house I don't want to hear a damn phone
or have some Douche tracking or tracing me & my every move
(aka Big Brother)
