I would really like to replace mine with a Dakota Digital or something similar. Can also be mechanical gauges not real picky. I don't think D/D offers one.

Nobody make them that I can tell, I looked everywere & didn't want to pay $1000+ to fix or restore my original gauge panel cluster... I made one for myself a 7 gauge replacement with 5/16" chrome bezeled LED yellow blinkers, blue high beam & red brake & oil warning LED lights, with all Autometer Traditional Chrome Analog gauges with black back ground w/white numbers & red sweeps, 1) 3-3/8" mech. 160mph speedo & 1) 3-3/8" 8k rpm Tach, 5) 2-1/16" gauges, includes fuel level, water temp, oil pressure, clock, voltmeter in an aluminum 0.090" thick panel cut, drilled/hole sawed, black texture painted & fit to the opening on my 68 RR, also have pods on the 5) 2-1/16" gauges to angle them towards the drivers view, appr. $500 total investment... I have to take a photo of it, I haven't installed the panel yet either, still doing other stuff, I will post a photo eventually when I get around to it...

Custom 7 Gauge RR panel

I'm not a good photographer so I hope this is ok

That looks great Budnicks, how you gonna get it to fit the dash??
Can't wait to see it installed.

The photo dosen't show it very well, (I should have taken photo with a light background) but the gauge mounting plate is slightly tapered from the far right to the the drivers side, to fit in the factory opening & cover the area that the stock gauge cluster was in... I measured the original gauge cluster & made the aluminum 0.090" plate with a 90* bend (still need to drill top for mounting screws) at the top to fit the same area as the org. cluster the very bottom of the speedo & tach up to the edge of the chrome bezel will be under lower dash pad everything else will be in the clear, no one made a decent gauge under 3-3/8" (like 3") that would fit the narrow opening so I figure I can live with the small section of gauge being covered by the lower dash pad, I hope to not have to trim anything I don't want to cut the car up just incase I ever sell it... I custom built the 7 gauge wire harness, soldered & shrink wrapped the heck out of everything & have all the proper sending units, I'm not at the point to rewire the under dash area & fuse box yet, I will do it when I have some more funds, I still want to put a stainless tilt column in it also & get the shifter down to the floor with a console, maybe... I still haven't made up my mind, I have a new B&M QuickSilver Ratchet Shifter I will incorporate in it if I go with the center console, I may go with a buddy seat instead of the console, I haven't got to that point yet, I ran out of funds & my Golf business is really slow right now...

Nice work on the dash- time and a little thought does wonders-(Oh, yeah, thanks for pointing me to these sites-on Mopar Muscle's site as nog4u2c)

From what I understand I can send the original 69 RR speedo bezel to Dakota Digital and they will custom build one for this. Probably my way to go, Will post pics

here's what mine had, i'm putting it back to stock though.
