Is this a clutch or cone type diff?

Clutch style....

Five: open, clutch style, cone style, locker, spool. Not counting welded spiders.
I think a 742 case usually had a clutch style, but clutch and cone are interchangable.

I only referenced to the factory type......

Who cares about welded spiders which is an open rear to boot.....a spool should be flipping obvious....

Might as well throw the Torsen-style on that list too! (Eaton Truetrac)Heehee

I'm looking at a 742 case, but want to confirm the sure grip type. Is this a clutch or cone sure grip?

Hard to see in that pic, but on a cone-type you should see some big springs in that square hole..
