Is this really an Australian MotorSport?

I do not understand the idiots that are side swiping their *** end into a wall. Are they trying to jump the wall?

I believe that's Australian for "Screw you Al Gore"!

yes its an aussie thing

"burnout masters " is a legit competition , and they are supposed to do a full 360 not swing their *** into the wall, its all about style while doing it
shruggy.gif

like that stupid drifting crap

The Aussies do love their burnouts.

Seems like there must be a whole lot of "Hey Bubba, hold ma beer and watch this" going on there.

I did not mean that Austrailians are idiots. The flaming tires looks cool and would be fun if it was a multi-colored jolopy and a somewhat worthless car.

There's a competition here in NZ every year that has a $10,000 prize for best burnout.
I would say that the Aussies do better and more spectacular competitions by far.

Looks like an alcohol fueled good time to me.

Nah....too easy when you can make 2000+ HP....much more difficult in a 2ton Roadrunner, making only 320HP

:D

Holy ****! A 1/4 mile burnout? That's insane. I'm assuming that's one of your cars.

@kiwigtx, that's insane. I wonder whether drag strips would even allow that in 2016.

I worked with a couple of aussies and asked them about this very subject, and the reply I got was "Y'wouldn't unnerstand, mate. Cheers!"

It's cool to watch but not a chance would I build a $15k+ engine just to grenade it

Seems like a Peacock mentality-"Look at me look at me! " lol

Here's my contribution, in Mopar Spec naturally.... Wish we had Mopar Utes here without hacking up a cool wagon to do it or importing one...

Of course, a mile high blower and massive tires is a direction I could take Stella in.... Dunno about "chucking a skid" in it though....
