Has anyone else encountered a problem with the JEGS big block windage tray that has the reuseable gaskets on it leaking at the rear of the engine? I've installed one of these on my charger and it seems to be leaking in the area where the recessed holes would be for the rear main seal. Jegs says they have had no complaints and that they see no way that it could possibly leak. I am just curious if anyone else has experienced this issue as well.

I installed one last winter and no leaks, the holes for the rear seal where filled flush with silicone from my engine builder though.

When I installed mine I also used a little RTV at the rear holes and a dab on each side where the front cover meets it

I'm almost wondering if that is where my problem might lie. Its coming down from the back of the pan so its not the typical rear oil seal leak and it is a considerable puddle if the car sits for any length of time. I'll try to fill in those bolt recessed holes for the rear seal and see if that fixes the problem.

Just curious how you made out with your oil pan leak and the Jegs windage tray. I am having the same problem with my oil pan and have tried four different gaskets and it still leaks at the rear of the pan. I don't think it is the rear main because it seems to seal for awhile after a new gasket but eventually leaks. I am using a stock 402 pan, recent rebuild 4.15 Stroke and my engine builder filled the rear main with silicone. What type pan are you using?

We ended up returning the Jegs oil pan gasket with windage tray. I purchased two of the fel-pro cork/rubber gaskets and used the Permatex Indian Head Gasket compound on it and snugged the bolts up. So far, no leaks. We have the stock 402 pan on there also.
