Giving me flashbacks to the '84 Plymouth Reliant K is was given as a brand new company car way back when I worked for AT&T. It actually wasn't too bad. It was small enough to get around town and park easily compared to our full size vans. It was actually pretty good in the snow. It also had a decent stereo and the A/C worked good, so I sure as hell wasn't going to complain about it.

The 80's were not kind to the Mopar loyal.

My business at the time, we bought a small fleet of Aries cars, and were great, dependable cars ! Lido was right !

I remember when they were considering putting 2.2 HEMI badging on Chargers and Tourismos in the 1980s.

My brother had a turbo k car. That thing was fast!

Had a 81 K car...bought it for $500 in a bar.."THE PAPER CLIP" was the bar.....it was the first non hot rod I ever bought, all was well till I jumped the rail road tracks at 21 mile and fairchild road....both shock towers through the hood...I think I still have the spare keys someplace.

My first car I bought new was a 1979
plymouth Arrow GT with the 2.6 engine. It did have hemispherical heads.

I beat the crap out of that car for 5yrs, and it never let me down. I still miss that car.

I have owned several d50 pickups and dodge colts all with the 2.6 hemi they ran well and got decent mileage. Went to the local dealership with my direct connection book in 1982 (I think) ordered a road rally suspension kit and dual 2 barrel intake for my 76 colt. That made the car a blast to drive. Still have that intake sitting in the garage.

had a 76 dodge colt as well...yellow. had 2 10 woofers 2 6x9s and 2 6 inch speakers in it pushing 300w..all from olsen electronics. cop made me pull the amp out when he pulled up to me and running with the devil was cranked...

The K car saved a company.

The Citation buried one.

Ford brought the Escort and Fiesta from Europe.

Good times...
