Hi,
It seems like every time I did a search looking for information on my car, this site popped up. So I figured I better join. I have a 1968 Dodge Charger with a 383(number matching). It was my first car. I bought it in Mississippi while in the Air Force for $4800 in 1995. I am currently building a 440 engine to drag race with. Don't want to ruin the 383.

Welcome aboard!I like your plan, tell us about the engine build. We also dig pictures,so post 'em up!!!!!

Here are some pictures. The blue Satellite is my fathers 72 with a 440. I am trying my very first performance engine build. I did a lot of reading and research. It is a 73 440 block with steel forged crank, speed pro pistons 10.1 compression ratio, edelbrock performer RPM intake, 800 Edelbrock carb, Stealth CNC ported heads(figured I'd give em' a try), crane gold roller rockers, Comp Cam 545 lift. The car will get 4.10 gears and Nitto drag radials. It has a 727 with reverse manual valve body. Still assembling the engine but I have all the parts. It is not 100% the way I wanted to do it but money is a factor and I had some of the parts so I needed to make sure everything match well. I want to be in the high 11's in the 1/4 mile.
