Found this site a few weeks ago and thought it was time to join in the fun. I'm from N. Michigan, half way to the N. Pole. I've been a Mopar nut since I was a wee whipper snapper. My first rig was a 40 Ford coupe with a injected 392 on alki. Built it with the help a Club in Ohio called Thirty of The Best. Started it when I was 13 (1959) and we finished it when I was 14. Ran it for the first time at 14 1/2 at a little track in Kettlersville. Ohio. Have had many since. My best time of racing was 1970 thru 1977, when I lived in SoCal. Ran mostly at OCIR, some at Lyons. Now don't frag me for this but the rig I was running then was a yellow 57 Chevy with a bored and stroked 440, duel Holleys, a shaved 833 and 489, out of a wrecked RR. I caught hell from the Chevy guys and hell from the Mopar guys. Caught even more, seeing how I flat towed it from Tustin, Ca. behind a 69 yellow VW bug. That Is why I ran mostly at Orange County. Only a few miles from home.
My current hot rod is a 73 Charger. Has a .30 ever 440,duel quads, Cope racing prepared 727 and a 489 sure grip with 410s. Still trying to figue out what I want to do with it, next.
