KIDDE Recalling 40 Million Fire Extinguishers

A lot of these smaller extinguishers DO NOT have a date code as described at the site. Does not matter, just enter the Model Number and Serial Number, leave the Date Code blank. It will accept that much info. I've found a total of three affected extinguishers among all of mine.
I posted this info on every automotive site where I'm a member and it's not surprising how many guys have units that qualify for replacement.
This recall covers units from 1973-2017. 44 years, that's a LOT of extinguishers!

Thanks for posting. I had one in the garage. I guess the top can fly off, I'm putting that outside don't need that going off for no reason.

Thanks for posting, all three of mine were on the list, the one in the RR, the one in the garage, and one in the kitchen!!! That's just crazy!!!
