Kinda defeats the purpose of buying an electric car

Generator probably uses more gasoline than a car that size would. ruffcut

And that sums up the whole stupid idea. Coal fired power plant plants to charge the EV cars. Brilliant minds have those folks.

Our current Admin wants to put in 500,000 charging stations across the U.S. at a cost of 1.5 trillion $$$
It will take approximately 4 hours to charge a car enough to travel 200 miles.
I can only imagine what it will cost to charge a car for 4 hours. Probably more than what a tank of gas would cost. then you think the waiting lines are long at the pump, wait until you have to wait 4 hours to charge your car.

I guess absent minded drivers standing on the road shoulder holding an empty gas can and thumbing a ride to the gas station will be replaced with drivers standing by their discharged EV on the shoulder, holding a tow strap and a charging cord, thumbing for a tow to the next charging station.

I think you are missing an opportunity here. Come up with the sign and register it for royalties. Perhaps a vibrator broken in the middle. Everyone knows that they are always dead when you drag it out of the nightstand.

"absent minded". You sir are being far too kind. There probably hasn't been a vehicle produced in the last couple of decades that doesn't beep, buzz, flash a warning light, or some combination thereof, when the fuel level gets low. They are hardly "absent minded"... JMHO

Attention Deficit Disorder, risk takers, daredevils, drugged out, distracted as on their phone texting??

Or, in other words...

"TONIGHT, on Top Gear...we make an electric vehicle."
