The local charity support group for families with a loved one suffering from cancer had their annual car show today.
The venue was the gorgeous Sayrah Barn, a place built by a nice couple and named in honor of their late daughter.
Of course my wife and I attended!

Fred was in fine form and the weather was finally beautiful as well, so off we went:

(I know - I don't posess much video production talent...)
(Apologies for the audio on this - the mount for my cell phone on the windshield is such that all sorts of
rattles and crappy sounds bounce around off the glass).

A few pics of things:

Pretty cool "action shot" of Fred...

One cool thing about living out here is no worries about coming back to
your car and finding parts missing. :)

Sing along with me!

Paint job on this Apache was amazing!

If you went to the Esso and put a tiger in the tank of your GTO - what did that mean, double tiger?

Don't ask me what that monstrosity is on the right. I know it started out as a Cutlass;
after that, dude was smokin' something...

The inside of the "barn" is seriously nice, made to host weddings and such.
Today, it was full of local tasty foods for sale and such.

We stayed until the sun got to me a bit, then took off for weekly shopping.
The irony of what the charity is vs. my own medical trevails wasn't lost on me,
despite our never benefitting from them in the past.
In fact, we support the heck out of them and I'm sort of someone they can point to
and tell others my tale about the fluckin' cancer...
A really nice day, just a boy and his wife - and his car.

Looked like a nice little show, good turn out!
Yep, good for the soul type event for sure - everyone on their best behavior (old car enthusiasts at the grass
roots level tend to be the best types of humans generally speaking and all) and just happy to be there.
That it helps dozens of local families going through the hell of a member having cancer is a wonderful
icing on the cake, too.

Apparently my video is not "likeable", however - which I expected. :)

Hey, finally get to hear your voice Ed! Thanks for sharing.
Looks like a great time man.

way cool Ed and Fred sounded great. Thanks for sharing my friend. Glad it was a good turnout to help the family.

Looks like a fun time. Glad you took time to share it with us.
Your wife navigating sounds just like mine. Lol

Great video Ed, and anytime you wind one of these out. It was necessary. You have a radio voice. I was waiting to hear you say, "Now for the rest of the story." You remind me a bit of the late great. 'Paul Harvey' :usflag:

Very kind of you, thanks. I've never liked the sound of my own voice actually.
Apparently that's a rather common thing though:

The part where I tried to get all creative like a TV show:

Looks like a member from ZZ Top was taking in some sun next to you and your sweetheart! Fred must be a leader because others followed his parking prowess in picking a plot.

The RB was singing a song as you were rowing that 4-speed. And yes it was necessary. Nice

Thanks! Reminds me, I wanted to ask the knowledgeable here in FBBO if the 440 sounds healthy in the video??
