Let's take the boat out for a spin

I can't believe they let the motor injest all that water! there has to be another 200hp available burning clean fuel and keeping those turbo's hotter

Awesome video! I have been going to the boat races since the late 60s (Eastern Washington; Columbia river). In all my years of watching that’s the best video footage of a boat running I have seen. Those old piston boats will always be my favorites, the sound of those 12 cylinder rolls Royce motors can’t be replaced by a turbine boat. Once again awesome.

driving one of those unlimiteds is on my bucket list, I've driven most other kinds of race boats! well not a jersey speed skiff, nobody needs to drive one of those!

You don't want the turbos hot. Heat is a killer of turbos. Plus you want the incoming air charge cool. That's why there are intercoolers.
Cooler air=more dense.

intercool after the turbo. hotter turbo's spool faster! watch some dyno runs, one shows blankets installed builds peak torque/horsepower 2 secs. earlier on a long pull, which is a boat/truck application, not a race car!
