does any one know of a tool to remove the screws that hold the license plate light housings on the 64 savoy and belvedere. see attached pic, looks like the tamper proof screws used on the bath room partitions in schools
Thanks
Ed

I couldn't come up with a tool to remove those screws so I used a thin abrasive cutting wheel and ground a slot in the head and removed the screws.I don't care about originality so it worked for me.

use a narrow nose vice grip and twist the screw thread from inside the trunk, enought toe grip the head edge on outside with pliers or a vice grip.
Note it may mean you only get 1/8th turns from inside, but always works for me.
Note also, throw out the old screws

Dartforforty - Good question - I just came across the same thing yesterday as I'm removing parts in preparation for media blasting. Let me know if you removed these screws and what you did. Chingnikred's suggestion of narrow nose vice grips will work on the outside screws because they can be reached from the inside......but the inside screws are only visible through two small holes which are not big enough to get a tool into.

screws

They are ONE WAY SCREWS................ when you get them out put in the best SS ones you can find.
I use a small grinder to get them out...grind off the head and then get inside and pull the remainder up through the hole. No room for vice grips in there.
What was Chrysler thinking???
