Lift off hood questions...

Two basic questions pertaining to factory installed Roadrunner lift of hood:
1) What is the correct direction of the installed hood pins retaining clips? Front to back or Side to side...
2) Did the factory install the cowl to hood and hood to radiator seals on the lift off hoods?

no seals came on a lift off hood
the only seal is the one on the aircleaner.

Hair pins are side to side, rear pins are mounted on brackets, not the cowl
